A writer must “know and have an ever-present consciousness that this world is a world of fools and rogues… tormented with envy, consumed with vanity; selfish, false, cruel, cursed with illusions… He should free himself of all doctrines, theories, etiquettes, politics…” —Ambrose Bierce (1842-1914?). “The nobility of the writer's occupation lies in resisting oppression, thus in accepting isolation” —Albert Camus (1913-1960). “What are you gonna do” —Bertha Brown (1895-1987).

Under no circumstances should the IEA recommend or finance them. No teacher or retiree should contribute to their re-election campaigns with dollars or time. No members of We Are One Illinois should support any of them.
ReplyDeleteWhy should anyone send money or donate time to a person who betrays them. Since the COLA legislation will reduce our actual pension checks in value by 30% or more within the next 20 years, who would be stupid enough to give them your money as they steal from you?
-Ken
I completely agree and remember that Lisa Madigan is running for Governor...That needs to be prevented. The Speaker was the driving force that allowed this to happen all to advance his effort to put Lisa Madigan in the Governor's Mansion. We need to remember this.
DeleteTom Cross is my representative. I have never supported him as he has proven over and over to be a liar and no friend to teachers. I agree with the above comment; what can we do to let IEA know - in no uncertain terms - that these people should not benefit in any way from the teachers from whom they have stolen and to whom they show no respect or caring?
