Section 1. Freedom of Religion,
Speech, Press, Assembly
Congress [or Donald Trump] shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
According to
Executive Director at Uptown People's Law Center, Alan Mills: “Trump calling
for NFL players to be fired not only violates the First Amendment but
violates Federal Statute 18 U.S.
Code 227: ‘Wrongfully
influencing a private entity's employment decisions by a member of Congress or
an officer or employee of the legislative or executive branch.’”
